Nigerian Army admits to bombing Kaduna villagers during Maulud celebration
Major General VU Okoro, the commander of 1 Division of the Nigerian Army and Force Commander of Operation Whirl Punch, has admitted that the Nigerian Army dropped the bomb that killed atleast thirty villagers in Tudun Biri, Igabi Local Government Area of Kaduna State on Sunday.
According to him, the army was conducting routine operations against terrorists when it unintentionally harmed community people.
Neptune Prime reports that an air strike occurred during a Maulud celebration, causing the death of numerous villagers in Tudun Biri in Igabi LGA of Kaduna State around 9 pm on Sunday.

Initially, the Nigerian Air Force denied any involvement in the attack, stating that they had not conducted any operations in Kaduna in the last 24 hours.
However, the Overseeing Commissioner of Internal Security and Home Affairs, Samuel Aruwan, issued a statement after a meeting held at the Sir Kashim Ibrahim Government House, Kaduna, conveying the army’s explanation and the ongoing search-and-rescue efforts.
The statement also expressed condolences to the families of the victims.
The meeting was attended by heads of security agencies, religious and traditional leaders.
