NLC refutes strike call, cites hacked email, forged letter
Following reports circulating that the Nigeria Labour Congress (NLC) had called for an indefinite nationwide strike from midnight on Monday, the union has come forward to debunk the claim.
An official from the NLC revealed that the email of the organization was hacked, and the alleged strike call letter was forged.
A statement from the NLC clarified that the letter calling for the nationwide strike, which had been attributed to the organization, was manipulated by individuals with the intention of misleading the public.
The original letter was dated late September and was intended for a previous scheduled strike on 3rd October. The mischievous individuals allegedly removed the original date to make it appear current.

An official from the NLC urged the public to disregard the false letter, emphasizing that it was forged due to the organization’s compromised email.
The NLC has emphasized that the strike call is not genuine and has advised the public to ignore it.
