Women feared dead as fire razes ex-governor’s residence

In a devastating incident, two women are reported to have lost their lives during a fire outbreak at the Ogbomoso residence of the late former governor of Oyo State, Adebayo Alao-Akala. The fire, which occurred around 7 am on Monday, engulfed one of the old buildings within the compound of the former governor.
According to a resident who spoke to News Point Nigeria over the telephone, the Ogbomoso fire service station intervened to extinguish the flames, but regrettably, not before claiming the lives of two individuals. Additionally, one person sustained injuries and was promptly taken to the hospital for necessary treatment.
As the community grapples with this tragic incident, the cause of the fire remains unknown. Investigations in the days ahead are expected to shed light on the circumstances surrounding this unfortunate event.

Despite attempts to contact the police in the state, no response was received as of the time of filing this report. The community is left in sorrow as it awaits further details and official statements regarding the fire outbreak at the former governor’s residence.
