Late Borno Governor’s spokesman, Isa Gusau, funeral at Abuja National Mosque today
The Borno State government has announced that the funeral of the late spokesman of the governor, Malam Isa Gusau, is set to take place today after janazah prayers at the Central Mosque in Abuja, a statement released by the state commissioner for information and internal security, Prof Usman Tar, revealed.
The passing of Isa Gusau, following a prolonged illness, occurred on Thursday at a hospital in India.
The statement specified that the deceased’s remains are anticipated to arrive at Abuja this afternoon, with the burial scheduled for 4 pm the same day.

In the face of this difficult time, the Borno State governor has expressed gratitude for the condolences received thus far and has requested the presence and prayers of all well-wishers.
Isa Gusau previously served as a special adviser on public relations and strategy to former Borno State governor, now Vice President Kashim Shettima, as well as the current governor, Babagana Zulum.
The statement honored Isa Gusau’s memory, noting that he is survived by two wives, three children, brothers, and sisters.
