Groom-to-be found dead by roadside with genitals removed

Barely 24 hours to his scheduled wedding, the lifeless body of Malam Salisu Mai Almajirai of Awai community, Soba Local Council of Kaduna State, was discovered by the roadside with his genitals removed.
The Guardian reports that Sarkin Awai, Rufa’i Waziri, a leader in the area, conveyed the community’s confusion, emphasizing the disturbing nature of the crime.
During preparations for the burial, it was discovered that the victim’s genitals had been surgically removed.
Malam Salisu’s wife, Malama Zulaihat, recounted that her husband had left home in the morning to visit friends but never returned. His absence was noticed when he failed to return by evening, prompting concerns.

The wife, in tears, described the harrowing moment when the new wife to be was informed of the situation and attempted to contact her missing husband, only to receive mysterious responses before the line went silent.
A neighbour of the deceased, Ali Hadimi, lamented the loss of a gentle and peace-loving man.
Similarly, the Kaduna State Police Command has initiated investigations to apprehend the culprits and make sure justice is served to the deceased.
