Adamawa Police recover headless body of lady inside hotel
The Adamawa State Police Command has launched a manhunt for a suspected ritualist after a woman was tragically killed and beheaded in a hotel in Yola North Local Government Area on January 18.
Reports indicate that the victim was murdered and beheaded by an individual staying at the hotel with her.
According to a receptionist, the suspect initially left the hotel to purchase something, but failed to return. Upon searching the suspect’s room, they discovered the headless body of the young woman.
Authorities were immediately notified, and the state Commissioner of Police, CP Afolabi Babatola, has directed a swift investigation to apprehend the perpetrator and any accomplices involved in this heinous crime for prosecution.

In a statement by the Police Public Relations Officer, SP Suleiman Yahaya Nguroje, CP Babatola emphasised that the unjustifiable killing of innocent citizens will not be tolerated.
He stressed the sanctity of every citizen’s life and the Command’s commitment to addressing such senseless acts in accordance with the law.
CP Babatola also underscored the importance of collaboration with other law enforcement agencies to protect the fundamental rights of all citizens and ensure their safety.
The police boss appealed for calm, assuring the public that both security agencies are working diligently within the confines of the law to bring the culprit to justice.
