The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) extensively questioned the former Minister of Humanitarian Affairs, Disaster Management, and Social Development, Sadiya Umar-Farouk, for over 12 hours regarding the alleged ₦37,170,855,753.44 fraud.

The interrogation took place at the EFCC headquarters in Abuja, with Sadiya Umar-Farouk accompanied by her lawyer, Oladipo Okpeseyi.

During the session, Sadiya Umar-Farouk was requested to provide a statement detailing her connection with contractor James Okwete and the disbursement of the aforementioned sum through ministry-affiliated agencies.
