Angry man kills neighbour over ‘loud snoring’

A Pennsylvania man identified as Christopher Casey of Upper Moreland Township has killed his neighbour Robert Wallace after a fatal confrontation over loud snoring.

Police responded to a 911 call from Casey reporting a stabbing, and upon arrival, discovered Wallace with two knife wounds about 50 feet from Casey’s home. Both men were rushed to a local hospital, where Wallace succumbed to his injuries, while Casey received treatment for non-life-threatening wounds.

Investigations revealed that Wallace had gone to Casey’s home that night, leading to a heated argument on the porch.

During the altercation, Casey reportedly produced a military-style knife, fatally stabbing Wallace twice. The motive behind Casey’s own injury remains unclear.

Police recovered the knife at the crime scene.

The tragic incident unfolded amidst an ongoing dispute between the neighbours over Casey’s loud snoring, audible through a shared wall.

Montgomery County District Attorney Kevin Steele announced that Casey was arrested on Thursday, January 20, facing charges of Third-Degree Murder, voluntary manslaughter, and possessing an instrument of crime.

Casey is currently in custody, held on $1 million cash bail.
