Bandits kidnap two sisters in Kubwa, Abuja, demand N30 million ransom
Gunmen believed to be bandits have kidnap two teenage sisters in Guita community, Chikakore, Kubwa, Bwari Area Council of the Federal Capital Territory, Abuja.
This harrowing incident occurred just days after the Chikakore community lodged a protest at the office of the FCT Minister, Nyesom Wike, about the deplorable state of the main road connecting their community, which they have attributed to the frequent kidnappings in the area.
According to a reliable source, the kidnappers resurfaced last Sunday at approximately 11:25 pm despite the presence of military and police patrols in the vicinity. Allegedly, a group of six armed assailants forcibly led the 16-year-old and 14-year-old sisters through the nearby forests and hills.
Another child, a boy, was initially taken but was eventually released to relay a daunting message to his father: prepare a hefty N30 million ransom if he wishes to secure the safe return of his daughters.

A local police source corroborated the details, highlighting the change in tactics employed by the abductors.
Reportedly, instead of shooting before or during the assault, the perpetrators managed to gain entry without alerting nearby authorities and eventually departed with the two girls.
Tragically, despite the mother’s plea for warmer clothing for the girls, the kidnappers callously disregarded her request and even turned violent towards her.
The distraught father, a community security advocate, has been known for his proactive involvement and contributions, and the community now stands in solidarity as they await further news and hope for the safe recovery of the kidnapped sisters.
The FCT Police spokesperson, Josephine Adeh, assured that the force would gather further information and provide updates on the situation.
