The chairman of the Yobe State Council of the Nigeria Union of Journalists (NUJ), Mohammed Rajab has led a delegation of executives to extend heartfelt condolences to Dr Hassan Gimba, Publisher/CEO of Neptune Prime Network, over the demise of his mother, Hajiya Hafsat Ahmed Gimba, who passed away on January 8, 2024.

Equally, Alhaji Ali Adamu joined other mourners to pray for comfort from Allah during a condolence visit to Dr Hassan Gimba.

He prayed that Hajiya Hafsat be granted Aljannatur Firdaus.

During the visit, NUJ chairman Mr. Rajab led other members of the council to express sadness over the loss, describing Hajiya’s demise as a loss not only for Dr. Hassan and his family but also for the entire community and Yobe State as a whole.

Yobe NUJ chairman, Comrade Rajab Mohammed, led the NUJ delegation to condole with Neptune Prime Publisher, Dr. Hassan Gimba at his hometown in Potiskum, Yobe State.

 

Mr. Rajab prayed for Allah’s forgiveness for the departed and that Hajiya be granted Aljannatur Firdaus, while wishing the family the strength to bear the immense loss.

Responding, Dr Gimba thanked the mourners for their support during such challenging time.

He also stressed the significance of all prayers offered and hoped for continued comfort from Allah during what he described as ‘an unforgettable moment in his life.’

Hajiya Hafsat Ahmed Gimba died on Monday, 8th January at the age of 85 in Potiskum.

A funeral prayer was held in her honour on the same day at the Emir of Fika’s Palace.
