Ex-convict lands in police custody for s3xually molesting 9-year-old girl
The Osun State Amotekun Corps, on Thursday, arrested Dada Isiaka, a 30-year-old ex-convict from Ada in Boripe Local Government of Osun, for reportedly molesting a 9-year-old girl in Ada Town.
According to a statement from retired Brig.-Gen. Bashir Adewinmbi, the Osun State Amotekun Commander, the suspect was apprehended at the crime scene on Tuesday.
Adewinmbi detailed that the suspect enticed a young girl near Aogun Compound in Ada to an unfinished structure in the area and purportedly assaulted her.

The commander explained that the minor’s cries during the ordeal attracted the attention of nearby residents, who promptly notified the Amotekun Boripe Command officials.
“Upon reaching the site, the girl was found with evidence of assault, and the residents had already apprehended the suspect,” Adewinmbi added. “Upon questioning by the Amotekun officers, the suspect confessed to the crime.”
Further interrogation unveiled that the suspect was a former convict, having served a three-month sentence for theft.
Consequently, the suspect has been turned over to the police for additional investigation and legal proceedings.
