Gov. Buni donates N100 million to victims of Bayan-Tasha fire disaster (Photos)

Governor Mai Mala Buni of Yobe State has donated the sum of one hundred million naira (100,000,000) to the victims of fire inferno at the Bayan-Tasha market last Monday night.
Governor Buni announced the donation when he visited the scenes of the fire outbreak to sympathies with affected persons.
He directed the State Emergency Management Agency (SEMA) to access the level of damage for possible interventions by the state government.
The Governor described the fire incident as an act of Almighty Allah, and prayed for the prevention of any future occurrence.
He assured the readiness of his administration to continue to support the Harmonised Traders Association in the state.
Earlier, briefing the Governor, the executive secretary, State Emergency Management Agency (SEMA) Dr. Muhammad Goje said the incident occurred at around 4:00 o’clock in the morning and over thirty three shops were razed down to ashes as a result of the fire inferno.
He further revealed that over one hundred and fifty seven million naira (157 million) was lost as a result of the fire incident.
In his remarks, the Yobe State Chairman of the GSM traders Association, Malami Muhammad, expressed his appreciation to the Governor for the prompt response.
He commended Governor Mai Mala Buni for the gesture and assured the readiness of association to continue to support the laudable policies and programmes of the state government.
