Gov. Buni seeks collaboration to promote trade, business in Yobe

Yobe State Governor, Mai Mala Buni, CON, said the state government would create an enabling environment to woo investors for direct and indirect investment in production and processing of sesame seed, gum Arabic, and livestock to enhance economic growth of the state.
Governor Buni said this while reacting to the ranking of Yobe State as the nineth state with ease of doing business in Nigeria.
He said, “For us to achieve this feat after the protracted security challenge, spurs our government to do more.
“This shows that Yobe State is moving fast and becoming a very business-friendly state,” Buni said.
He explained that with the improvement in security and introduction of incentives by the state government, Yobe State is committed to becoming a leading state in trade, commerce, and business.
“We have completed and commissioned the international cargo airport to facilitate local and international trade and movements within and outside the country.
“Our administration has constructed modern markets with fireproof facilities to facilitate and support the business community,” the Governor said.

Governor Buni stated that his administration has been reaching out to the international community to explore and exploit the potentials in production and processing of sesame seeds, gum Arabic, and livestock.
“Government will improve all areas of collaboration for effective and efficient engagements to promote business activities in the state.
“I want to assure you that government will continue to provide infrastructure to make Yobe State a business hub linking the North with other countries in production and processing of Sesame seeds, gum Arabic, and livestock,” Governor Buni said.
