NNPC, MRS Oil Nigeria, 5 others get approval to distribute petroleum from Dangote Refinery
Seven major oil marketers in Nigeria, under the Major Oil Marketers Association of Nigeria (MOMAN), have obtained approval from the Dangote Petroleum Refinery for the lifting and distribution of refined petroleum products produced by the $20 billion facility.
The dealers confirmed their registration on Sunday, stating that they would commence the distribution of fuel once commercial terms are finalised.
The registered major marketers include 11 Plc, Conoil Plc, Ardova Plc, MRS Oil Nigeria Plc, OVH Energy Marketing Limited, Total Nigeria Plc, and NNPC Retail.
The registration follows the recent announcement by the Dangote Petroleum Refinery regarding the commencement of diesel and aviation fuel production.
Aliko Dangote, President of the Dangote Group, expressed gratitude for the support received from various entities, including President Bola Tinubu, government regulatory bodies, and Nigerians.
He announced the milestone of starting production and affirmed that the products, meeting Euro V specifications, would enter the market this month, pending regulatory approvals.

The Dangote Petroleum Refinery, located in Lagos, has received six million barrels of crude oil at its Single Point Moorings (SPMs) and aims to load 2,900 trucks daily at its truck-loading gantries. The refinery adheres to international emission norms and employs advanced technology for refining processes.
The project, situated in the Dangote Industries Free Zone, Ibeju-Lekki, Lagos, is a 650,000 barrels per day crude oil refinery and petrochemical facility. As one of the largest and technologically advanced refineries in Africa, the Dangote Petroleum Refinery is a significant step toward achieving self-sufficiency in petroleum product production in Nigeria.
