Tinubu appoints 6 Executive Directors to key agencies under Ministry of Marine, Blue Economy
President Bola Tinubu has approved the appointment of six Executive Directors for key agencies under the Federal Ministry of Marine and Blue Economy.
This was announced in a statement by Ajuri Ngelale, the Special Adviser, Media and Publicity to the President, on Thursday.
The appointees and their respective roles under the Nigerian Ports Authority (NPA) are Ms. Vivian C. Richard Edet, Executive Director, Finance & Administration (NPA); Engineer Olalekan Badmus, Executive Director, Marine & Operations (NPA); Engineer Ibrahim Abba Umar, Executive Director, Engineering & Technical Services (NPA)
New appointees under the Nigerian Maritime Administration and Safety Agency (NIMASA) include Mr. Jibril Abba, Executive Director, Maritime Labour & Cabotage Services (NIMASA); Mr. Chudi Offodile, Executive Director, Finance & Administration (NIMASA); Engineer Fatai Taye Adeyemi, Executive Director, Operations (NIMASA).

According to the statement, President Tinubu expressed confidence in the appointed individuals, citing their impressive profiles. The President believes that the new Executive Directors will efficiently execute their mandate, contributing significantly to the nation’s GDP and fostering an inclusive, labor-intensive economy. This aligns with the Renewed Hope Agenda, guided by the Honourable Minister of Marine & Blue Economy, H.E. Adegboyega Oyetola.
