Tinubu attends inauguration ceremony of Gov. Hope Uzodimma in Imo
President Bola Tinubu arrived in Owerri, the Imo State capital, to partake in the second-term inauguration of Governor Hope Uzodimma.
Tinubu, who earlier participated in a wreath-laying ceremony for the 2024 Armed Forces Remembrance Day, landed in the state around 1 pm on Monday.
Governor Uzodimma and other top government officials and leaders in the South-East state welcomed Tinubu at the Sam Mbakwe Airport.
Tinubu is accompanied by government officials and is scheduled to commission projects in the state following the inauguration at the Dan Anyiam Stadium in Owerri.
Several governors from the region, including Governor Chukwuma Soludo of Anambra State, are also present at the event. Governor Soludo is being represented by his deputy, Valentine Onyeka Chukwu Ibezim.

In anticipation of the inauguration, Governor Uzodimma pledged to be a “servant leader” to the people and residents of Imo State. He expressed gratitude for the support received and emphasized the collective commitment to the state’s progress.
The governor extended appreciation to all Imo sons and daughters, inviting everyone to join in the celebration of their shared journey.
Governor Uzodimma assured guests of the state’s hospitality and readiness to deliver more progress in the upcoming term.
