How 90-year-old woman, granddaughter in Katsina were brutally murdered
In a tragic incident in Tudun Wada, Daura, Katsina state, 90-year-old Hajiya Amina and her 23-year-old granddaughter, Bilkisu, were brutally murdered at their residence behind Tashar Kudu.
The elderly woman was strangled, while her granddaughter faced a horrifying fate with her stomach reportedly ripped open and kidney removed by the assailants, an allegation yet to be independently verified by Daily Trust.
Earlier, the victims had experienced a break-in where their plasma TV was stolen. Despite reporting the incident to the police and recovering the TV, the ongoing investigation did not prevent this heinous crime.

Governor Dikko Umar Radda expressed condolences to the bereaved family and the Daura emirate council.
Police spokesman ASP Abubakar Sadiq Aliyu confirmed the incident, acknowledging that details were currently limited.
The community is left in shock as authorities work to unravel the tragic events surrounding the double homicide.
