108 Katsina students engage in science practical competition

Story from Abbas Bamalli

In a science practical and debate competition, a total of 108 secondary school students in Katsina State are currently participating, spearheaded by the wife of the state Governor, Hajiya Zulaihat Radda.

Malam Abdullahi Jibril, the Executive Director of Ash-Shifa Social Development, Education and Awareness Initiative, conducting the competition, highlighted that the students were selected from the 12 educational zones within the state.

Quoting Jibril, “In our research, we have come to realise that most students nowadays pay more attention only to games and social media activities. This has contributed to the backwardness of their education, especially in the area of science. Therefore, we saw the need to contribute our quota towards boosting their knowledge, especially in this aspect.”
