The spokesman of the Adamawa State Police Command, Sulaiman Ngurore, confirmed the incident, stating that the case was initially filed without a police report, and the court referred the matter to the police for a thorough investigation.

He explained that the police investigation revealed that the lecturer is accused of raping a secondary school graduate after molesting her in his office.

The Police Public Relations Officer (PPRO) mentioned that, following the arraignment, the prosecution sought legal advice from the state Directorate of Public Prosecution (DPP). Once the advice is received, the case will likely be moved to a high court for further prosecution.
