Former Yobe Governor Bukar Abba Ibrahim buried in Mecca (Video/Pictures)
Former Governor and Senator from Yobe State, Bukar Abba Ibrahim, has been buried according to Islamic rites in Mecca.
Late Bukar Abba Ibrahim died after a protracted illness at the age of 74 in Saudi-German Hospital in Mecca, Saudi Arabia.

He was the governor of Yobe State from 29 May 1999 to 29 May 2007 and from January 1992 to November 1993.
He was elected to the Senate for the Yobe East constituency in 2007 and won his re-election bid in April 2011. He is a member of the All Progressives Congress (APC).

Senator Bukar Abba Ibrahim is a Muslim and married to three wives: Hajiya Maryam Abba, Aisha Abba Ibrahim and Khadijat Abba Ibrahim. He is survived by 17 children.
