INEC declares Musa Mustapha winner of Yobe East bye-election

The Independent National Electoral Commission, INEC has declared Hon. Musa Mustapha as the winner of the Yobe East Bye-Election.
Hon. Musa Mustapha scored 68,778 votes to defeat Aji Kolomi (Ajiko) of the People’s Democratic Party (PDP).
The Returning Officer of INEC, Prof. Ibrahim Ahmed Jajere declared Hon. Musa Mustapha scored 68,778 to defeat Aji Kolomi (Ajiko) of the PDP who got 18,878 votes.

Prof. Ahmed Jajere said “Hon. Musa Mustapha of the All Progressives Congress (APC), having scored the highest number of votes cast and having satisfied requirements of the law, has been declared the winner of the Yobe East Bye-Election”.
Mustapha popularly known as Coolers is a former Commissioner of Finance, Transport and Energy in Yobe state replaces Senator Ibrahim Geidam who is currently the Minister of Police Affairs.
