Jonathan’s ex-Chief of Staff, Arogbofa slumps, dies
Brigadier-General Jones Oladeinde Arogbofa, who served as the chief of staff to former President Goodluck Jonathan from 2014 to 2015, has sadly passed away at the age of 72.
The retired brigadier-general tragically collapsed and died in Abuja on Saturday. Arogbofa, originally from Oka Akoko in Ondo state, had retired from the Nigerian Army in 2004.
Expressing sorrow over the loss, Ondo State Governor, Hon Lucky Orimisan Aiyedatiwa, acknowledged Arogbofa’s significant contributions to the nation as a soldier, politician, and administrator in a statement.

Aiyedatiwa offered condolences to the Arogbofa family and encouraged them to find comfort in the enduring memories and legacy of the departed statesman.
Former Senator Ben Murray-Bruce, the founder of Silverbird Group, fondly remembered Arogbofa as a “true hero” and a “dear friend,” highlighting his wisdom, integrity, and unwavering dedication to Nigeria.
Murray-Bruce emphasized that although a hero has sadly departed, Arogbofa’s legacy will continue to shine brightly.
