Kannywood stars have turned up in large number to celebrate Ali Nuhu’s recent appointment as Director General of Nigerian Film Corporation Jos.
The celebration event was organised by friends and associates of the legendary actor over his recent appointment.
Some of the popular actresses in attendance include Nafisa Abdullahi, Maryam Booth, Rahama Sadau, Aisha Humaira and Hadiza Gabon.
Ali Nuhu is a graduate of geography from the University of Jos. His late mother Hajiya Fatima Kadiram is Kanuri from Borno State, his father Nuhu Koloma lived and died as a practicing Christian from Balanga LGA of Gombe State.
It could be recalled that in January 2024, President Bola Tinubu approved the appointment of renowned Hausa actor, Ali Nuhu, as the Managing Director of the Nigerian Film Corporation, along with ten other individuals as CEOs of various agencies falling under the Ministry of Art, Culture, and Creative Economy.
The new DG of the Nigerian Film Corporation Jos is an international award-winning actor and has attended international courses worldwide.

He is married to Maimuna Ja’a Abdulkadir from Kaduna and have two children; Fatima Ali Nuhu and Ahmad Ali Nuhu who is now an international footballer.
As one of the leading stars in Nollywood, a king maker in Kannywood, Ali Nuhu’s appointment did not come as a surprise to many.
Despite starring in so many great movies in Kannywood and Nollywood, the actor is well-known to maintain a trouble-free life for over 20 years in the entertainment industry.
