Elupo Eliazer, whose wife was among those taken, shared that the kidnappers initially asked for N30 million in ransom, but later reduced it to N2.6 million after negotiations.
Eliazer explained that he and his wife were on their way to a church convention in Lokoja when the abduction took place.
His wife was in a separate vehicle ahead of his, and upon reaching the location, he found that all passengers had already been led into the bush.
Reflecting on the incident, Eliazer expressed his anguish and helplessness, stating, “My wife and I were traveling together, but due to limited space in our vehicle, I decided to follow another vehicle. If there had been enough room, I would have been in the same car with her.”
