NLC President leads thousands of protesters to National Assembly

The President of the Nigeria Labour Congress (NLC) Joe Ajaero has led thousands of protesters to the National Assembly to drive home their grievances against the high cost of living in the country.

Various security agencies were seen stationed around the various entries and exits of the National Assembly and the Federal Secretariat axis to ensure the orderliness of the exercise.

The protesters were chanting their demands to the leadership of the National Assembly.

They are currently at the entrance of the White House, chanting “hunger dey.”

Recall the organised Labour unions embarked on a two-day protest across the country to express displeasure with the economic situation in the country.

This comes amid warnings by security agencies that some persons were planning to use the opportunity of the planned protests to foment crisis and widespread violence.
