NLC reveals 12 fresh demands for Kebbi government

In line with the directive of the national headquarters of Nigeria Labour Congress (NLC), Kebbi State branch of the union has listed 12 new demands for the state government during a press conference held at the labour house in Birnin Kebbi.
The state chairman, Kebbi State, Comrade Murtala Usman, who presided over the press conference stated that the state chapter has 12 key demands of the union that need the attention of the Kebbi State Government.

He listed the demands to include a circular for the thirty thousand minimum wage approved by the past government, immediate release of second palliatives, effective transport system to mitigate transportation problem in the state, peculiar allowance for judiciary staff and immediate implementation of 35,000 minimum wage award to Kebbi workers.
Other demands are implementation of parliamentary staff autonomy, allowance and salaries, implementation of promotion and advancements of newly qualified health workers approved by the state government and an appeal to the state government to hasten the verification of 2019 pensioners to enable them enjoy Ramadan fasting.
Usman thanked the state government for meeting some of their demands, security agencies for their protection during the protest and all labour affiliates for coming out to protest against hunger, currency devaluation and insecurity in the country.
