Thierry Henry advises Osimhen to avoid joining Arsenal
Barcelona and Arsenal legend, Thierry Henry, has cautioned Napoli striker, Victor Osimhen, to focus on consistent goal-scoring but discouraged a potential move to Arsenal in the English Premier League.
Henry’s comments came in the aftermath of Osimhen’s pivotal goal against Barcelona in the Champions League last-16 first-leg clash, ensuring Napoli stayed competitive in the tie.
Scoring his first goal since returning from the Africa Cup of Nations, Osimhen drew Napoli level at 1-1, showcasing his prowess with a single attempt on goal, 15 minutes after Robert Lewandowski opened the scoring.

With six goals in six Champions League games at the Diego Armando Maradona stadium, Osimhen stands behind Erling Haaland (12) and Kylian Mbappe (nine) for recent home goals in the competition.
Henry, speaking on CBS Sports Golazo, challenged the 25-year-old to prove himself beyond Serie A, emphasizing his Scudetto win with Napoli.
“He needed the goal today (on Wednesday),” remarked Henry. “I want to see him take the next step and be more consistent with his output, but not with Arsenal. I won’t go there.”
Linked with moves to Chelsea and PSG, Osimhen has been advised by the Champions League-winning Frenchman to explore other European leagues.
“I’d like to see him now, what he can do in the Premier League or wherever he’s going or Paris Saint-Germain,” added Henry. “I want to see him take the next step, and winning the title with Napoli the way he did will stay in history forever, so all the best to him in his career.”
