The president also approved the appointment of the ten executive heads across the Nigerian Communications Commission, Galaxy Backbone Limited and Nigerian Communications Satellite Limited.

Special Adviser to the President on Media and Publicity, Ajuri Ngelale, announced the appointments in a statement he signed on Thursday titled, ‘President Tinubu appoints new AMCON management team.’

Tinubu also appointed the three other executive directors pending their confirmation by the Nigerian Senate. They are Aminu Ismail, Adeshola Lamidi and Lucky Adaghe.

According to Ngelale, the President expects “unflagging dedication, professionalism, and dutifulness from the new appointees so as to ensure that the operations of AMCON are more efficient, transparent, and in consonance with his determination to sanitize the nation’s financial system to maximize value and enhance investor confidence in the Nigerian economy.”

At the Nigerian Communications Commission, he appointed Abraham Oshadami as Executive Commissioner, Technical Services, Rimini Makama as Executive Commissioner, Stakeholder Management and Opeyemi Dele-Ajayi as President/CEO, Digital Bridge Institute.

At the Nigerian Communications Satellite Limited, he named Abiodun Attah Executive Director, Technical Services; Aisha Abdullahi Executive Director, Finance & Administration and Jaiyeola Awokoya as Executive Director, Marketing & Business Development.

The President also appointed Ibrahim Adeyanju Managing Director/CEO of Galaxy Backbone Limited alongside three executive directors. They include Mohammed Ibrahim — Executive Director, Finance & Corporate Services, Olusegun Olulade — Executive Director, Customer Centricity & Marketing and Olumbe Akinkugbe — Executive Director, Digital Exploration & Technical Services.

“With the reconstitution of the management teams in these agencies, President Tinubu expects the new appointees to “deliver excellent service to elevate the impact of the digital economy sector on the socio-economic development of the nation,” said Ngelale.
