Tinubu to jet out for 37th AU Heads of State meeting Thursday
President Bola Tinubu is set to embark on a journey from Abuja to Addis Ababa, Ethiopia, on Thursday to take part in the 37th Ordinary Session of the Assembly of the African Union (AU) Heads of State and Government meeting.
In a statement released by Chief Ajuri Ngelale, the Special Adviser to the President on Media and Publicity in Abuja, it was mentioned that President Tinubu will be engaging with other African leaders in discussions focused on the institutional reforms of the African Union, as well as matters related to peace and security.
The anticipated high-level meetings will also cover specific topics like climate change, and the ways in which the continental body can participate in the G20 and set its priorities.

The theme for this year’s summit is “Educate an African fit for the 21st Century: Building resilient education systems for increased access to inclusive, lifelong, quality, and relevant learning in Africa.”
President Tinubu will also be participating in an extraordinary summit of the Authority of Heads of State and Government of ECOWAS in his capacity as the Chairman of the regional body during the sidelines of the AU summit.
Accompanied by ministers and other top government officials, President Tinubu is set to return to Abuja following the conclusion of the summit.
