Mr Tasie said that since he was in haste, he advised that the woman and the child be taken to the Nkpolu Police Division, Mile 3 Diobu, so that the police could wade into the matter.

The former Vice Chairman of Goat Meat Sellers Association disclosed that concerned traders and customers were on their way with the woman and her child to the police station when he left the scene.

The state police command is yet to respond officially to the incident.
