Police arrest four KWASU students over death of peer

In a distressing turn of events at Kwara State University (KWASU) in Malete, four students have been apprehended by the authorities for allegedly causing the death of a fellow student through physical violence.

According to reliable sources, the unfortunate incident took place a week ago in a private hostel located off-campus, where the victim, whose identity remains undisclosed, was reportedly recording footage of the four students without their consent.

Upon noticing the recording, the students confronted the victim about his actions, prompting a confrontation that escalated into a fatal physical altercation. Tragically, the victim succumbed to the injuries sustained during the altercation.

A witness who spoke on condition of anonymity revealed to reporters the severity of the beating inflicted on the victim by the four students.

The State Police Public Relations Officer, Toun Ejire-Adeyemi (DSP), acknowledged the incident and confirmed that the alleged perpetrators have been taken into custody while investigations are ongoing.

As the case unfolds, the KWASU community mourns the loss of a promising student and grapples with the repercussions of this tragic event.
