CGC Adeniyi reinforces trade commitments in Kano, visits Mamuda Group of Companies (Pictures)
The Comptroller-General of Customs, Bashir Adewale Adeniyi, reaffirmed the Nigeria Customs Service’s dedication to enhancing trade and addressing food security challenges during a significant meeting with Governor Abba Kabir in Kano.
The visit, which took place on Sunday morning, March 10, 2024, emphasized the historical rapport between the Customs Service and the Kano State Government.
During the meeting, CGC Adeniyi underscored the need for Customs to establish an export terminal in Kano to streamline business processes. He also shared directives from President Ahmed Tinubu regarding the return of detained grains for domestic market reintroduction.

Governor Abba Kabir welcomed the CGC warmly, expressing support for Customs policies to enhance import and export activities in Kano.
He particularly commended CGC Adeniyi’s visit to the Dawanau International Grains Market and pledged full government support in establishing an export warehouse.
In a separate engagement, CGC Adeniyi visited the Mamuda Group of Companies in Kano, reinforcing the Customs Service’s commitment to collaboration with private enterprises. He highlighted the importance of strong partnerships in revenue generation and trade facilitation across the federation.
Chairman and CEO of Mamuda Group, Hassan Hammoud, appreciated CGC Adeniyi’s visit and reaffirmed the company’s dedication to complying with customs regulations, ensuring a mutually beneficial relationship with the Nigeria Customs Service.
