Customs CG inspects Mando headquarters construction site (Pictures)
The Comptroller-General of the Nigeria Customs Service, Bashir Adewale Adeniyi, conducted a site inspection on Thursday, March 7, 2024, at the Customs Cantonment construction site in Mando, Kaduna, aimed at evaluating the ongoing progress of the vital project.
Addressing the press after the inspection, the CGC emphasized the significance of the construction project, stating, “I am here this afternoon to inspect the progress of this vital project, the construction of the Customs Cantonment in Mando, Kaduna. This initiative underscores our commitment to establishing a robust and efficient infrastructure to support the operations of the Nigeria Customs Service.”
Highlighting the importance of the ongoing Federal Operations Unit Zone ‘B’ construction, the CGC stressed its role in enhancing operational efficiency for Customs personnel.
He stated, “It will provide them with modern facilities and amenities to carry out their duties effectively.”
The Customs Chief reiterated the priority status of completing the project, emphasizing its pivotal role in reinforcing the Service’s capacity to safeguard borders and combat illicit activities in the region.

He commended the dedication and hard work of all involved, acknowledging their instrumental contributions to realising the vision of a modern and efficient Customs Service.
Prior to the site visit, the CGC was honored with a ceremonial guard of honor by personnel from the Customs Police Unit at the Zonal Headquarters in Kabala-Doki, Kaduna.
