How Yobe lecturer allegedly abused, raped students

Story from Kasim Isa Muhammad

Recent events have led to the arrest of Mr. Adamu Garba Hudu, a lecturer at Al-Ma’arif Nursing School in Potiskum, Yobe State, on charges of rape and molestation, shedding light on disturbing details surrounding his alleged exploitation of students.

One victim, who chose to remain anonymous, revealed how Mr. Hudu took advantage of her vulnerability, initially offering assistance with personal health issues.

However, the situation turned sinister as he professed love and promised academic favoritism in exchange for sexual favours.

The victim’s ordeal intensified when Mr. Hudu allegedly threatened academic repercussions if she revealed their interactions.

Despite her fear, she sought help from the student affairs division, which advised her to gather evidence.

Although reports indicate Mr. Hudu has been dismissed from Al-Ma’arif Nursing School, there is no official statement from the Yobe state government.

Further investigations reveal that Mr. Hudu, married with two wives and seven children, remains in police custody.

Police Public Relations Officer in Yobe State, Dungus Abdulkarim, confirmed the accused will face court proceedings on Monday.
