Katsina police place N50m bounty on two bandit kingpins

The Police Command in Katsina State has announced a N50 million reward for individuals providing valuable information leading to the arrest of two notorious bandits, Modi Modi and Jan Kare.

In a statement by the Public Relations Officer, Mr. Abubakar Aliyu, the Police alleged that these two individuals were responsible for a significant number of terrorist attacks in the state.

The statement highlighted that Modi Modi and Jan Kare, both males, are operating within Katsina State, particularly in the areas of Kankara and Safana Local Government Areas.

Emphasizing the importance of residents’ safety, the Police assured confidentiality for informants, keeping their identity and provided information strictly confidential.

Mr. Aliyu urged citizens to assist security agencies in apprehending the masterminds behind the crimes of kidnapping and banditry in the state.

This reward initiative reflects the Police’s commitment to taking decisive actions against criminal elements jeopardising peace and stability in the region.
