Man arrested for impersonating woman in Kano varsity female hostel
Muhammad Munzali of Kaura Gidan Damo, Shanono Local Government Area of Kano State, was apprehended by operatives of the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC) attached to the Critical National Assets and Infrastructure Department in Kano.
The arrest, confirmed by NSCDC Public Relations Officer Ibrahim Abdullahi, occurred around 10pm on Wednesday night as the suspect attempted to sneak into the female hostel of Skyline University Nigeria in Nassarawa GRA, Kano State, disguised in women’s clothing and with local charms on his body.
Investigations are ongoing to determine the motive behind Munzali’s intrusion into the private university’s women’s hostel.

The State Commandant, NSCDC Kano Command, Mohammed Falala, emphasized the importance of heightened surveillance around public and private educational institutions in the state to safeguard against criminal activities.
This incident echoes a similar event in 2021 when an unidentified man disguised and entered a female hostel at Ignatius Ajuru University of Education in Port Harcourt, Rivers State, where he was caught and stripped by students.
