Motorist dies in Lagos protesting damage to his car
The Lagos State Police have confirmed the tragic death of 33-year-old motorist, Seun Sahola, who was killed while protesting against another driver who allegedly hit and damaged his car on the Jakande-Lekki-Epe Expressway.
According to SP Benjamin Hundeyin, the Command’s Public Relations Officer, the Ilasan Police Division received information on Monday at about 2:30 p.m. regarding a hit-and-run fatal motor accident along the expressway involving a Lexus car.
Reports indicated that the late Sahola was driving his Lexus when a Honda Accord, driven by an unidentified person, allegedly damaged his parked car.
Sahola confronted the Honda Accord driver, demanding that he inspect the damage caused. Instead of cooperating, the Honda Accord driver purportedly used his car to knock down Sahola before fleeing the scene.

“In an attempt to escape, the Honda Accord driver lost control of his car and crashed into an electric pole at Igbo Efon, abandoning the vehicle and fleeing on foot.”
“Traffic police rushed Sahola to the hospital, where he was pronounced dead by the attending doctor. His body was deposited at the mortuary for autopsy, while the abandoned Honda Accord was taken into police custody.”
Investigations are ongoing as the police are actively pursuing the fleeing driver.
