Sheikh Daurawa resolves dispute with Kano Governor, reinstated as Hisbah boss

The Commandant General of Kano State Hisbah Board, Sheikh Aminu Ibrahim Daurawa, has staged a remarkable comeback to his position after a public showdown with Governor Abba Kabir Yusuf.

Despite his fiery resignation announcement on social media, Daurawa did not formally submit his resignation in writing, leaving the door open for a reconciliation that took place just last night.

In a meeting with the governor and influential figures, the Sheikh has agreed to resume his duties on Tuesday, much to the relief of the Kano State Government.

Reports suggest that a delegation of respected Islamic scholars, led by the revered ‘Zauren Hadin Kan Malamai,’ played a vital role in persuading Daurawa to reconsider his decision.

Additionally, the intervention of prominent figures such as the Speaker of the Kano State House of Assembly and the Chief Imam of the National Mosque in Abuja further solidified the Sheikh’s return.

Governor Yusuf’s critique of the board’s ‘operation kau da badala’ had initially sparked tensions that led to Daurawa’s swift resignation.

However, his reappointment signifies a new chapter of understanding and collaboration between the governor and the Hisbah boss.

The triumph of Sheikh Daurawa’s return not only restores stability to the Hisbah Board but also presents a poignant tale of redemption and unity in the face of adversity.
