A concerning video has surfaced on TikTok, showing a bandit displaying ransom money collected from his victims.
The video, which has gone viral, was shared by Zagazola Makama, a renowned security analyst in Lake Chad, on his X handle.
The bandit in the video reportedly boasts over 3000 followers on TikTok, some of whom are believed to be fellow criminals openly flaunting their weapons and donning military or police uniform.
Makama lamented on how platforms like TikTok are being misused by insurgents to promote terror activities without any checks or restrictions in place.
This disturbing trend highlights the need for increased vigilance and regulation on social media platforms to prevent the spread of violence and fear.
He wrote: “Audacity: Bandit on Tiktok flaunting and showing off ransom money he collected from his victims.
“The user of the account has 3000 followers, some of them are bandits who openly show off their rifles and are dressed in military or police uniforms.
“Tiktok platform has given room for insurgents to promote their campaign of terror without being restricted.”
