APC disputes Oyo LG election outcome as PDP sweeps all 33 chairmanship seats
In a landslide victory, the ruling Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) clinched all 33 chairmanship seats in the local government election conducted on Saturday, April 27, according to the Oyo State Independent Electoral Commission (OYSIEC).
The announcement of the results by OYSIEC chairman, Aare Isiaka Olagunju (SAN), garnered commendations from the Commissioner of Police in the state, Adebola Hamzat, and other security agencies, who lauded the conduct of the poll as free, fair, credible, and devoid of violence.

However, the All Progressives Congress (APC) in the state vehemently denounced the election outcome, branding the council poll as a sham capable of tarnishing the state’s reputation if upheld.
