Arsenal edge Tottenham 3-2 to maintain premier League lead

In a thrilling North London derby, Arsenal secured a crucial 3-2 victory over arch-rivals Tottenham, maintaining their position at the top of the Premier League table on Sunday.

Seeking to stay ahead of Manchester City in the title race, Mikel Arteta’s side delivered a stunning three-goal performance in the first half, stunning the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium.

The scoring frenzy began with Pierre-Emile Hojbjerg’s own goal, followed by Bukayo Saka and Kai Havertz finding the back of the net, putting Arsenal in a commanding position.

Although Cristian Romero and Son Heung-min scored for Tottenham in the second half, Arsenal managed to hold on, securing a vital three points.

With this win, Arsenal now sit four points clear of second-placed Manchester City, who have two games in hand. City will secure their fourth consecutive English title if they win their remaining five matches.

Arsenal’s victory underscores their determination to reclaim the title after last season’s disappointment of losing an eight-point lead. The Gunners have rebounded impressively from recent setbacks, including a defeat to Aston Villa and a Champions League exit.

Despite Tottenham’s valiant effort, the defeat deals a blow to their hopes of qualifying for the Champions League, as they currently trail fourth-placed Aston Villa by seven points with two games in hand.

Arsenal’s victory in the North London derby keeps them in contention for their first league title in 20 years, marking a significant step in their pursuit of glory.
