Deputy Commissioner of Police takes own life
Gbolahan Olugbemi, a Deputy Commissioner of Police, has tragically taken his own life according to reports.
The sad discovery of his death was made in his home on Monday afternoon, with details of who found his body still unknown, as reported by The Street Journal online newspaper.
Olugbemi held the position of overseeing special investigations at the State Criminal Investigation Department, Panti, Lagos, and resided alone on Petros Academy Street in the Federal Lowcost area of Ogbomoso, Oyo State.
The late officer, who had previously served as an aide de camp to the late former governor Adebayo Alao-Akala of Oyo State, was back home for Easter when the tragic incident occurred.

Authorities have cordoned off the area where the incident took place, as onlookers gather, discussing the heartbreaking situation.
