Family confirms brutal murder of Gov. Aiyedatiwa’s campaign coordinator
Samuel Abbey, the younger brother of Abbey Alaba, has confirmed the assassination of his brother who was one of the coordinators of the Lucky Aiyedatiwa Campaign Organisation Foot Soldiers Independent Council (LACO-FSIC).
According to Abbey, the coordinator was murdered in Akoko South-West Local Government Area of Ondo State.
The deceased was also the returning officer for the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) in his Ward 10 during the recent primary election.
Speaking about the attack, Samuel Abbey said that the family was in pain.
Also, Funmilayo Odunlami-Omisanya, the state police spokesperson, confirmed the killing and announced that an investigation has been launched to unravel the circumstances surrounding his death
The LACO-SF has condemned the brutal killing and called for police protection for its members.
Reacting, Kayode Fasua, the campaign organisation’s spokesperson revealed Alaba Abbey’s active involvement in the campaign until his tragic death.

David Ajobiewe, the Director-General of LACO-FS in Akoko Southwest Local Government, described the killing as a big tragedy, stressing his peaceful nature and lack of any known disputes. Ajobiewe urged the police to thoroughly investigate the murder and bring the perpetrators to justice.
