Zelensky Warns: Ukraine risks losing war without US congress aid
Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky emphasized the critical need for military aid from the US Congress to combat Russia’s invasion, stating that Ukraine could lose the war without it.
Zelensky made this statement during a video meeting of the Kyiv-organised fundraising platform United24, stressing that without the aid, it would be “difficult” for Ukraine to survive.
He urged Congress to understand that failure to assist Ukraine could result in losing the war, cautioning that if Ukraine falls, other states could also be attacked.

Despite ongoing efforts, Republicans in Congress have been blocking the approval of tens of billions of dollars in military assistance for Kyiv for several months.
Meanwhile, the conflict continues to escalate, with a recent Russian strike on the town of Gulyaipole in the southern Zaporizhzhia region resulting in the deaths of three civilians.
In another incident, a woman was killed in the city of Kupiansk, northeastern Kharkiv region, during an attack that also wounded five civilians. Kharkiv has been increasingly targeted in recent months.
Additionally, Russia reported a young woman’s death due to a Ukrainian drone strike in the Belgorod border region, highlighting the escalating violence and civilian casualties on both sides.
The situation remains tense as the conflict between Ukraine and Russia shows no signs of abating.
