Gov. Buni appoints Abubakar Muhammad as new Emir of Tikau

Yobe State Governor, Alhaji Mai Mala Buni, CON, has approved the appointment of Alhaji Abubakar Muhammadu Ibn Grema as the new Emir of Tikau.

His appointment was based on the unanimous recommendations of the king makers of the Tikau Emirate Council.

In a statement signed by Secretary to the State Government Baba Malam Wali, mni, the appointment takes immediate effect.

Alhaji Abubakar Muhammadu lbn Grema is the eldest son of his late father Alhaji Muhammadu Abubakar lbn Grema, the late Emir of Tikau.

Alhaji Abubakar Muhammadu Ibn Grema, has a Bachelor in Agric Economics & Extension from Bayero University Kano. Msc, Agric Economics (Applied Econometrics, Development and Resource Economic) and Phd (inview) Rural Development.

He has worked in various capacities in Yobe State University and he is currently the District Head of Sabon Garin Nangere.

He is currently Principal Manager, Yobe State University Farm. He has attended various courses which include training on Environmental Impact Assessment, Ecosystem International Limited, Lagos Nigeria and Health and Safety Training/induction, University of Reading Safety Unit, Berkshrine, United Kingdom.
