CGC Adeniyi shines at SABRE Awards Africa 2024, earns certificate of excellence (Pictures)
Comptroller-General of the Nigeria Customs Service (NCS), Adewale Adeniyi, has been honored with a certificate of excellence for his first 100 days of impactful public relations at the 2024 SABRE African Public Relations Association (APRA) Awards and annual conference, held in Côte d’Ivoire from May 13-18, 2024.
Chief Superintendent of Customs Abdullahi Maiwada, the service’s spokesman who also attended the conference, highlighted that the SABRE recognition signifies the winners’ exceptional creativity, integrity, and effectiveness in public relations and governance.
The SABRE Awards are the largest continental competition for the public relations industry in Africa.
Expressing his gratitude, CGC Adeniyi said, “I am very grateful for this recognition. I hope it will inspire us in the Nigeria Customs Service to provide impactful leadership in governance in Nigeria.”

He also thanked Image Merchants for their role in the PR achievements in Nigeria and reflected on the conference as a fruitful period of networking and positive public relations, expressing optimism for APRA’s continued growth.
