EFCC to arraign ex-Aviation Minister Sirika, daughter on Thursday

The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) is gearing up to arraign former Minister of Aviation, Hadi Sirika, his daughter Fatimah, and two other individuals in court this Thursday.

The charges stem from an alleged N2.7 billion contract fraud that was uncovered within the Aviation Ministry during Sirika’s tenure.

Former Minister Sirika will be making his first appearance in court before Justice Sylvanus Oriji of the Federal High Court in Abuja on the designated day.

Accompanied by three co-defendants including his daughter Fatima and Al-Duraq Investment Ltd, the group is accused of misusing their positions to facilitate the laundering of over N2.7 billion.

As per the details in the charge sheet seen by News Point Nigeria, Sirika purportedly abused his authority as the Minister of Aviation by illicitly awarding contracts to his daughter, son-in-law, and close associates.
