IRGC to launch advanced satellite carrier, Qaem-105 by year-end

The Islamic Revolution Guards Corps (IRGC) Aerospace Force’s Space Division is working to launch the next-generation Qaem 105 satellite carrier by the end of this year, according to Commander Brigadier General Ali Jafarabadi.

The Qaem 105 satellite carrier has a larger cargo capacity, nearly twice that of its predecessor, Qaem 100. While the goal is to launch by year-end, Jafarabadi noted that if this timeline isn’t met, the launch will definitely take place in the spring of next year.

This development comes after General Jafarabadi announced in January that Iran plans to begin researching the launch of satellites using the Qaem 120 carrier within the next three years.
