Kaduna Assembly investigates El-Rufai’s $350m foreign loan

The Kaduna State House of Assembly has commenced an investigation into the administration of former Governor Nasir El-Rufai over allegations related to a $350 million foreign loan obtained during his tenure spanning from 2015 to 2023.
Earlier, the House has constituted an ad-hoc committee chaired by Magaji Henry to oversee the probe.
In a video made available by AIT on its verified X handle, the Chairman, Magaji Henry, assured the public that a thorough investigation would be conducted during the course of their assignment.
He emphasized the committee’s commitment to calling witnesses and leaving no stone unturned in unraveling the details surrounding the foreign loan.
Speaking on behalf of the committee, Henry affirmed their dedication to upholding transparency and accountability in governance.
