Kaduna gov’t organises free medical outreach to celebrate 1 year in office (Pictures)

Free health care was launched to mark one year anniversary of Kaduna State Governor Uba Sani in office at Makarfi Local Government General Hospital, Kaduna State.
When our correspondent visited the hospital, doctors were seen carrying out treatments in different health fields.
In an interview with Neptune Prime, a woman who had optical surgery named Malama Salamatu from the town of Anchau said she received surgery free of charge with the support of Kaduna State Governor, Senator Uba Sani.
She prayed to Allah to help the governor just like how he helped them.
Similarly, Malam Adamu Abubakar from Kudan, whose two children had hernia surgery, also prayed for the governor and commended him for the effort.
Doctor Ahmad Aliyu was the leader of the doctors entourage that performed the surgeries.
The doctor said they came to the hospital to perform the surgeries free of charge under Primary Health Care which is taken care of by Alhaji Bello Jamo throughout Kaduna State under the government of Senator Uba Sani, based on his promise to prioritise health care in his administration.
The doctor added that it was an entourage of doctors, some from Ahmadu Bello University Teaching Hospital Shika, Zaria, in collaboration for the programme.
He said they performed different types of surgeries ranging from Hernia and Optical surgeries and treatments of Hypertension, Typhoid, Malaria and Diabetes.
The doctor said they will treat hundreds of people within four days, and that the whole work is under the supervision of Health Secretary of Kaduna State Government.
He acknowledged getting the needed support from the government and the people to achieve success in the medical outreach.
